Weird Word Wednesday

Word

Definition

A sound or a combination of sounds, or its representation in writing or printing, that symbolizes and communicates a meaning and may consist of a single morpheme or of a combination of morphemes.

Today's weird word is:

Frigorific

My definition:

Combining friggin' and horrific into one convenient word.

The dictionary definition:

Causes cold or is chilling

I think my definition makes much more sense. What do you think?

  1. The dictionary definition takes dullsville to new heights (or lows). It is a definition which belongs in a shabby grey cardigan, chewing its health giving nourishment forty times for each mouthful..
Yours on the other hand is a joy. And is a definition which I have already borrowed/purloined and will use. Megathanks.
