Visiting from A/Z. I had to laugh at that quote from Woody Allen, considering Woody Allen and the different things going on in his life. So true that we can't enjoy life or do life if we avoid it or certain things in it. Good luck with the rest of the challenge!
I would have called him something else, Al, but we'll go with your sage...because I've sworn off bad language for the day. ;) By the way, the cave smells strongly of dwarf cologne...tell them to take it easy in enclosed spaces.
I excel at avoidance, Glenda. :D Like right now I should be writing! I'm going to have 26 different cats this month...I'd be the cat lady for sure if I owned them all!
I dunno - I have to disagree with Ms Woolf. On occasion, there's nothing more peaceful to me than avoiding everyone and everything - in a hot tub with a cool drink. (And, Mr. Allen, I mean ALONE.) :-)
I think I have to argue (another A word) with Virginia. Sometimes the only way to find peace is to ignore rather a lot of life.
ReplyDeleteArgue about avoidance anytime (another A!) here, EC! And you're right... ;)
DeleteI agree with Woody Allen!!!
ReplyDeleteWait, did I say that out loud...?
You did, Alex, but I'll never tell... ;)
DeleteGreat quotes! Thanks for sharing them. :)

This is cat central month, Madeline! Always nice to see one of Captain Ninja's minion...as long as you're not a clone... ;)

ReplyDeletebetty
Thanks, Betty! Yeah, Woody Allen should have gone with a different answer... ;)
DeleteHa! That's always my answer too. Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteYour secret is out now, Christine! :)
DeleteOh geez. *facepalm* Let's start the day with something profound, and something...well...not so profound. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI wanted a balanced outlook in life, Crystal...really, I wanted the sex in there but threw in something profound to go with it. :)
DeleteCentury-distilled wisdom, hahaha. Allen is a sage. :)
ReplyDeleteI would have called him something else, Al, but we'll go with your sage...because I've sworn off bad language for the day. ;)
DeleteBy the way, the cave smells strongly of dwarf cologne...tell them to take it easy in enclosed spaces.
Maybe that's what got Woody Allen in trouble in the first place!
ReplyDeleteI think you're right, Jay... ;)
DeleteWait, you have CATS EVERY DAY!!!! You rock, River.
ReplyDeleteI know, Cathy! Cats rule! :)
DeleteBoth those quotes are awesome! Excellent choices! And I am a big cat lady, so I love that you'll have cats on your blog every day. :D
ReplyDeleteYay, Chrys! Another cat addict. :)
DeleteCats, avoidance, and sex. Umm...what was the question again?
ReplyDeleteGreat start, River.
LOL, Kevin! Forget the question. The answers are enough to fuel your day. ;)
DeleteWoody's quote is the clear winner. :D What an adorable kitty to kick things off.
ReplyDeleteIsn't he a sweetie, Julie? The cat, not Woody. ;)
DeleteI love the kitty and would not mind having hi/her. Woody's quote is cool as well. Avoidance is something I seem quite god at. How about you?
ReplyDeleteI excel at avoidance, Glenda. :D Like right now I should be writing! I'm going to have 26 different cats this month...I'd be the cat lady for sure if I owned them all!
DeleteAh. Woody. That's what's got you into so much trouble! As for avoidance, I know a lot of people who practice it daily.
ReplyDeleteSome people never learn, Ellie...and some people don't care. :)
DeleteThen it's a real problem to avoid sex!
ReplyDeleteLOL - great post!
Haha! You're right, Yolanda. :)
DeleteYou're off to an auspicious start on A to Z, River. Quotes from two people I don't care for at all!
ReplyDeleteROFL, Ron! Let's see how long I can keep doing it then. It'll be a challenge! :)
DeleteLove the quotes, and the picture. Especially the picture. MOW! Can't avoid that!
ReplyDeleteThere will be 26 different cats making their debut here, Loni!
DeleteI dunno - I have to disagree with Ms Woolf. On occasion, there's nothing more peaceful to me than avoiding everyone and everything - in a hot tub with a cool drink. (And, Mr. Allen, I mean ALONE.) :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree, Li. I'm a happy hermit! :)
DeletePerfect way to start the challenge! Thanks for the support!
ReplyDeleteHi, Leila! Thanks for stopping by. :)
DeleteMy favorite is Woody Allen's quote. Officially. :)
ReplyDeleteDara the Writer
I suspect his quote resonates with many people, Dara. ;)
DeleteSometimes peace would be easier to achieve if life didn't have to be in the picture.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of pictures, the cat is adorable! We have a yard full of them. We're the koolaid house, only for cats, not little humans. :)
Have a great week!
True, Suzanne. LOL! Cats drink koolaid? I never knew that. :)
