  1. I think our wisdom collectors have slowed down since Asimov's time.
Two Wonderful quotes today. And an impressive moggy too.

    1. EC, I was certain I'd come in first this time, and then damned Google asked me to enter my password a second time, and you sneaked in and beat me. Do you have friends at Google? In any event, I agree River's quotes are Wonderful. So is A Dragon's Lament. Check that out to see who the first, No. 1, 5-star reviewer is.

    2. No friends at Google. I am choosy. And feeling guilty. I need to read A Dragon's Lament's predecessor. Because it isn't in hard copy (my preferred reading) it hasn't been barking my shins and stubbing my toes as the other books in my unread tower do. Soon. Very soon.

    3. I admire your preference for hard copy. I admit I'm down to Shakespeare's collected works and English romantic poetry and a few other volumes like those in hard copy. Still, when I read in one of them, it gives me an extra charge.

    4. I doubt few wisdom collectors are left, EC. And you're right, that is one impressive moggy. :)
It warms the little cockles of my heart to see EC & Ron battling it out for first place. *snicker* I'm most humbled to have such glowing praise for my books from you, Ron!

  2. Thank you, River, for these Wisdom and Worth quotes. In fact, thank you for all your quotes this April. I'm sorry you're down to XYZ.

  4. The measure of an "advanced" civilization is the value it puts on all life. I'm still in search of that civilization on a larger scale. Fortunately, I can find it in individuals and groups.

    1. You're right, Lee. It seems to exist in pockets but not in humanity at large.

  5. Fantastic quote...

Rowling is so right, too.... Everyone is worth saving...

  6. Wonderful quotes for the W day, River. The good Dr. A. knew how to put thoughts together and have real ideas pour forth.

Ms. Rowling ain't no slouch, neither.

I do love that EC has an unread "tower." :)

    1. Dr. A. is sadly correct, Kevin. And EC's "tower" can actually hurt if it topples, instead of becoming electronic soup. ;)

  7. Hey River!

"W" is for "What have I done?" Have a check of your Kinky, sorry, Linky tool. Gosh and Wow.

Isaac was the dude. Good quote. And yeah, I know of Harry Pothead. And wrong, we aint all human, J.K. Rowling. Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar, host of the Alphabark Challenge, 2014!, is a beloved creature and she could teach humans about non-judgemental, unconditional love.

Now then, almost the end of the ridiculous A to Z Challenge!

Have a good Sunday, River. Mr. Alphabet Dude allows you time off for good behaviour, or behavior.

    Gary :)

    2. Yep, Penny coerced me into signing your Kinky list, or whatever it's called. Slinky, Kinky, Linky, whatever.

Penny rocks! Arf! And at three in the morning...I'm outta' here...

      Gary :)
